VEHICLE CRIME

By following these simple tips, you won’t give thieves an opportunity:
  1. Remove your Sat Nav, the mounting cradle and ensure you wipe away 'sucker marks' left on windscreens
  2. Never leave anything on display in your vehicle – not even a handful of loose change
  3. Secure your vehicle with an immobiliser, alarm or tracking device and make sure you use them. This is especially relevant if you have an older model
  4. When you park, if you have a removable stereo, make sure you remove it and take it with you. Don't leave it in the glove compartment
  5. Take care of your car keys - never leave them in the ignition when the vehicle is unattended and at home, always keep them hidden
  6. Choose a secure car park, see securedcarparks.com for recommendations.
