Welcome to Making Manchester Safer
Crime reduction is not the sole responsibility of the Police or any other single organisation. It is the responsibility of everyone. Together, the agencies in Manchester's Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnership (CDRP) work with one overriding objective: to make Manchester a safer place.
We have been working together as a CDRP for ten years and during that time we have achieved some very significant reductions in crime.
This is the website for Manchester CDRP where you can find out about:
• The CDRP and how all the agencies work to reduce crime
• How residents can get involved
• The latest crime and disorder news in Manchester
• The work going on in your neighbourhood to tackle crime
• Safety tips to avoid becoming a victim of crime
• Useful crime and disorder contacts for your area
As well as getting the most up to date information from our "News and Events" section, you can keep up to date with the latest crime and disorder information using Twitter. Follow the link on the left to find out more. You can also view our photo gallery by following the "Flickr" link to see photos of some of the work that has been going on.
